Spring comes early in Oklahoma. Our goal was to create a beer with a lighter mouthfeel for warmer weather, while still honoring tradition and offering sustenance for the season of Lent.
The ale yeast brightens the style (traditionally a lager) and imparts dark fruit notes not common in doppelbocks. Heaps of residual sugar remain to create our interpretation of a dark beer for warm weather.
