The mission of Get Artistic is to find creative ways to add value to the local arts community, beginning with four primary avenues of support: 1) providing curated exhibition and performance space onsite in the brewery’s tasting room; 2) through strategic grant proposals and commissions; 3) eventually launching an artist-in-residence program; 4) and finally, by providing enrichment opportunities for the arts community. “We acknowledge the obstacles to becoming a self-supporting professional artist in today’s market,” said Creature Comforts’ Director of Community and Culture Matt Stevens. “We therefore hope to participate in a way that helps remove some of these barriers. Moreover, we ultimately want to be a company who ‘walks our talk,’ leveraging our brand and our people to support this Beer Stylescommunity in new and innovative ways.”

Funding for Get Artistic will be generated through 100-percent of the profits from the brewery’s soon to be released beer brand and merchandise. Once the program reaches a baseline funding target, the brewery will promote a variety of grant proposals to help local artists continue their work while sustaining their livelihood.

Inspired by white wine, the classic drink of art gallery receptions everywhere, the Get Artistic beer will be a tart wheat beer brewed with Sauvignon Blanc grape juice at 6-percent ABV. It will be released at the Get Artistic launch onsite at the brewery on draft and will also be available to-go in 16-ounce cans.

Get Artistic will launch June 22, coinciding with the AthFest Music and Arts Festival. To learn more about Get Artistic, visit www.GetCurious.com. For more information on Creature Comforts Brewing Company visit www.creaturecomfortsbeer.com.
