Holidaily Brewing Co., Colorado’s dedicated gluten-free brewery, is set to celebrate their three-year anniversary on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
Holidaily is the passion project of founder Karen Hertz. After surviving melanoma and thyroid cancer in her early 30s, Hertz adopted a gluten-free diet as part of her post-treatment plan.
Hertz struggled to find a great tasting, 100% gluten-free beer. She was driven to solve this problem and spent years researching gluten-free ingredients, taste-testing numerous gluten-free beer alternatives, and building an understanding of brewing processes in order to create a better solution. Thus, the idea of Holidaily Brewing Company was born.
The brewery’s three-year anniversary also lands on Hertz’s 10 year cancer-free anniversary.
To celebrate both of these milestones, Holidaily announced a limited beer release of “Mission Possible Pilsner,” inspired by Hertz and her company’s vision to overcome obstacles and live life to the fullest each day.
“This pilsner is the perfect style to release for our big celebration,” said Connor Reeves, Brewer at Holidaily. “It’s a great opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come. Re-creating traditional styles like a pilsner is no small feat but we haven’t let that stop us.”
The anniversary will take place at the Holidaily taproom located in Golden at 801 Brickyard Circle from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. with the anniversary pilsner, collaboration brews, specialty styles, and core beer classics on tap. The brewery has announced giveaways, food throughout the day from local food trucks Pambasos and Dedicated Bistro and Bakery, beverages from Rocky Mountain Soda Company, and live music from Robbie Wicks.
Since opening in February of 2016, the draft list at the tasting room has grown from three to ten specialty gluten-free craft brews, ranging from IPA to stout and everything in between. Crafted with local malted millet and buckwheat, the flavors of these brews compete with the best craft beers, gluten-free or not.
In addition to the taproom, Holidaily distributes five of their beers, Favorite Blonde Ale, Riva Stout, Fat Randy’s IPA, Patchy Waters Pumpkin Ale, and BuckWit Belgian to over 250 liquor stores and restaurants as far south as Pueblo, as far west as Aspen and Steamboat and as far north as Fort Collins. http://www.holidailybrewing.com/buy/
“I never could have imagined the success that we’ve seen in just three years” said Hertz. “The mission of this company is built around getting delicious beer in the hands of those that haven’t had one in a while, due to being gluten-free. Not only has Holidaily achieved this locally but our reach is growing daily. We’re excited to celebrate how far we’ve come but it’s safe to say we’re just getting started.”
