Railhouse Brewery is proud to have received two first-place medals at this year’s North Carolina Brewer’s Cup. Railhouse Mastiff Oatmeal Stout received the first-place medal in the Stout category, and Railhouse KA-BAR Brown received the first-place medal in the English Brown Ale category.

Railhouse co-owner and brewmaster Brian Evitts said, “This is the second time this year that our Mastiff Oatmeal Stout has taken first-place.” Mastiff also took first place at this year’s Blues n’ Brews festival in Fayetteville, NC. “We are very proud of our beer, and Mastiff is our flagship. It’s exciting to receive such great feedback.”

“The KA-BAR Brown,” named after the KA-BAR knives carried by the US Marines, “is a customer favorite in our Brewpub, and it’s great to see it receive public recognition,” added Evitts.  The partnership between KA-BAR knives and Railhouse on co-branding the brown ale has led to distribution of Railhouse beers throughout New York State, KA-BAR’s home.
