Fistmas | Revolution Brewing Chicago, IL

Fistmas is a robust interpretation of a hoppy American red ale brewed to celebrate the holiday season here in Chicago.

We use pale malt and an assortment of fine specialty malts from Germany, England and Belgium to create a red hue, rich body along with complex layers of caramel flavor and aroma. We then utilize Warrior, East Kent Goldings and Chinook hops in the brewhouse to impart a clean crisp bitterness and spicy hop flavor. Finally, we dry hop this ale with Chinook and Citra to create deep aromas of freshly cut fruit, citrus zest and pine to get you in the holiday spirit!

We started the tradition of brewing Fistmas Ale at our Brewpub and have now carried it over to our production brewery so we can get it out for more people to enjoy during the holiday season. We utilize bitter orange peel from Spain and freshly chopped ginger root in the brewhouse to help infuse this ale with deep layer of citrus character which works well with the American hop varieties we use in this ale.
