Carnevale Ale | The Lost Abbey San Marcos, CA

Our Lenten Saison brewed to celebrate the arrival of spring, Carnevale is made with same yeast as Red Barn and brewed to be refreshing and light in body, but still complex. Carnevale was recently awarded a Gold medal (French-and-Belgian-Style Saison) in the 2012 World Beer Cup.

Carnevale’s flavor is generated from Brettanomyces along with Amarillo and Simcoe hops, increasing in flavor and depth over time. Both dry and funky, expect notes of tropical fruits and barnyard flavors paired with a peppery hop finish. A perfect beer to cellar and witness how the yeast transforms the complexity and layers of taste over time.
