5.56 India Pale Lager, pours with a brilliantly transparent clarity and is dry-hopped with all-American hops; Cascade, Mosaic and Citra. The crisp mouthfeel combined with robust piney, citrus, and grapefruit aromas make for a sessionable spring lager you’ll surely enjoy.

The 5.56 dry-hopped lager is named after the common ammo round used in the military – 5.56 (Also know as .223). We wanted to incorporate a military-inspired beer as Fort Benning, the largest military base in the Southeast, is less than 15 minutes from the brewery. We brew the 5.56 to finish at 5.5 percent ABV, and the branding matches.

Although not the only beer we brew as an ode to the military, we want to make sure Fort Benning and every member of the armed forces know that OBC supports them and thanks them for their service.
