Henryk Orlik’s adventures in brewing began in Germany when he was only 16, and have led him all the way to Covington Louisiana and the opening of Heiner Brau in 2005. Orlik received his official training at the Doemens School of Brewers and Maltsters in Germany and upon moving to the U.S. worked at Abita Brewing Co. from 1997 to 2002.
Heiner Brau’s dedication to the art of brewing means they strictly abide to the German Purity Law of 1516, also known as “Reinheitsgebot.” That means no adjuncts, no artificial carbonation and no other additives are used to enhance the brewing process.
